Christopher Desautel has over 25 years of experience delivering innovative ways to use technology to enable companies to grow, reduce cost, delight customers, and achieve a competitive advantage. He has expertise in business and IT strategy, digital customer experience, cloud computing, digital transformations, analytics, and M&A. He has been featured in Forbes, sharing his insights on Digital Boardroom Leadership, and in 2021, he was recognized by InspireCIO as the Enterprise CIO of the Year for the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Desautel is currently SVP and Chief Digital Officer at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies (BHHC), where he is focused on creating a market-leading customer experience, driving digital transformation initiatives, and leading the information technology group. He joined BHHC in 2013, as Chief Information Officer. Prior to BHHC, Mr. Desautel has held various leadership positions including SVP and CIO at SeaBright Holdings, VP in Information Technology at Safeco, and Global IT Executive at Delphi. Mr. Desautel began his career as a management consultant with Andersen and Deloitte Consulting where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to implement IT and business improvement programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Engineering with a concentration in operations management.
