AVP & Principal Data Scientist, Advanced Analytics John Hancock

Mohammad Hamidian is an AVP and Principal Data Scientist at John Hancock. He leads analytics and AI for the Long Term Care business focusing on fraud detection, document intelligence, consumer behavior, and experimental design for new business programs.

Previously a professor of physics at the University of California and a research scientist at Harvard, Mohammad moved into the private sector in 2018, switching into the fields social and political sciences. He developed rapid large scale randomized control trials for state and national political campaigns to measure the persuasion effects of their media.
