Paul Sims

Senior Vice-President, Digital Automotive and National Account Assurant

Paul Sims is a seasoned executive, serial entrepreneur, and board member. Currently he is SVP, National Accounts & Digital Automotive at Assurant.  

Paul has especially deep experience in both the automotive and insurance industries. He was an early executive at AutoTrader.com. He was co-founder of 2 digital automotive marketplace businesses, OVE.com and DealerMatch, acquired by Cox Automotive.  Paul ran digital product for Manheim, the world’s largest auto auction company.  He also co-founded an insurance broker marketplace. 

Paul has built and sold companies to public and private entities. He has advised investors and company founders of several businesses.  Paul currently serves on the boards of 2 early stage companies.  

Previously he was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. He is the holder of several patents related to online auto transactions and social media. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from BYU.  He lives in Atlanta with his wife and 3 children.
