Ryan McElroy is Vice President of Technology at Hylaine, where he leads technical sales, solution design, and emerging technology evaluation with a business-first mindset. Having joined Hylaine in 2017 as an architect, Ryan has grown from consultant to VP—building a career grounded in hands-on engineering, pragmatic architecture, and a clear-eyed view of what actually delivers value. A technologist who still thinks like an engineer, Ryan bridges strategy and execution to help clients cut through noise, modernize legacy systems, and make technology work in the real world. His experience spans application development, data platforms, DevOps, and enterprise architecture, with deep roots in the Microsoft ecosystem and regulated industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, and life sciences. Ryan is known for his healthy skepticism of vendor hype and his bias toward resilient systems, scalable architectures, and teams that can execute. He believes values matter as much as code quality—and that the best partners tell hard truths early to avoid costly mistakes later. Before Hylaine, Ryan served as a Software Engineer at SentryOne and a Consultant at CTS, experience that continues to shape his delivery-focused approach today. He is also a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator, presenting at industry events such as DevOpsDays, CIO Roundtables, and open-source security summits. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Auburn University.
Insurance organizations are drowning in data from countless sources, leaving insights fragmented and hard to act on. This disconnection slows decision-making, hampers customer experiences, and limits growth. This panel will illuminate how to turn scattered data into a cohesive, organized source to draw upon for decision-making and AI. We will spotlight practical strategies for integrating diverse systems, improving data quality, and unlocking real-time insights that drive smarter decisions. By creating a seamless flow of information, insurers can streamline operations, anticipate customer needs, and respond faster to market shifts. Attendees will leave with clear approaches to transform disconnected data into a powerful tool for engagement, efficiency, and growth.
