Yasir Kaheil is currently a senior product manager, flood solutions, at the Risk Data Solutions at Swiss Re. In his role, Yasir also serves as the expert on all CAT-related solutions. At Swiss Re, he is the lead developer and product of flagship products such as Property Insights, and the Homeowners Market Analyzer (HOMA score). Yasir was the technical team lead of the Global Flood Map at FM (formerly known as FM Global). Academically, Yasir did postdoctoral research studies in hydrology and climatology at prestigious institutes such as Columbia University and Environment and Climate Change Canada. Yasir also served lead technical consultant at a few World Bank projects related to climate risk. Yasir completed his Ph.D. degree in 2007 from Utah State University in CEE.
