Jonathan Yoon is the VP of Life Marketing at Nationwide, a Top 5 life insurance carrier in the US. He leads the strategy and execution of marketing, customer experience, and AI initiatives for the Individual Life business, driving growth and innovation in a competitive market. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with Fortune 500 companies in the US and Asia, such as MetLife, Samsung Life, and PwC Consulting. He also served as an Army Sergeant in the Eighth US Army for two years.
Jonathan holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a Masters of Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan, and a BBA from Yonsei University. Jonathan is a doctoral candidate at Purdue University with concentration in AI and Machine Learning. He is a thought leader in applied AI and digital marketing, and a frequent speaker at universities and industry forums including Ai4, Digital Insurance Connect, LIMRA, SOA, and Society of Insurance Research(SIR). He is also an active committee member of several professional and nonprofit organizations, such as LIMRA’s Marketing Committee, ANA Measurement Committee, and Vivo Music Festival. He is a world traveler, having lived in five countries and visited 40 countries across five continents.
