Michael Topol is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MGT Insurance (MGT), a vertical AI neo-insurer modernizing commercial P&C insurance for businesses and their agents. By leveraging a full-stack model that integrates data and technology, MGT owns the entire process from intake to issuance, streamlining what used to be a weeks-long process into a matter of minutes.

Prior to MGT, Topol helped build Collective Health, a $ 1.5 billion+ insurance technology business backed by Google Ventures, NEA, Founders Fund, Sun Life Financial, and SoftBank. At Collective Health, he helped build the product development organization, operations organization, the sales team, the business operations team, and built and led the finance team. Topol helped them scale from 30 to over 500 employees and raise over $200 million in capital. Prior to Collective Health, he worked at Morgan Stanley in Global Power & Utilities (“GPUG”) Investment Banking, focusing on M&A, debt, and equity transactions. Topol earned a BA in economics & mathematics from Columbia, a JD from Columbia Law (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), and an MBA from Stanford GSB.
